Quote Chaser privacy policy

Quote Chaser is a Chrome extension. It has no account system, no analytics and no server of its own. This page lists every kind of data it handles, where that data goes, and when.
What we receive
We never receive your quote data. Your customers' names, phone numbers, emails, quote amounts, messages and follow-up history are never sent to us.
When you buy Pro, we receive purchase and licence data through Polar, our payment provider: your name, email address and order details (product, price, date, licence key and its status). We use it to deliver your licence, answer support requests and process refunds. We never receive your card details. Polar is based overseas and stores this data under its own policy. Email support@plainwarestudio.com to see, correct or delete what we hold.
Data handled on your device
When you paste quote rows, Quote Chaser stores the following in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) in your browser profile:
- Personal information about your customers: names, phone numbers and email addresses from the rows you paste
- Quote details: quote amounts, quote dates, statuses and any other columns you copied
- Message content: your message templates. Drafted messages are generated from a template each time a quote is shown and are not stored. Edits you type into a draft stay only in the open tab and are discarded when you close or reload it.
- Action history: which quote you followed up, at which stage, by which channel (WhatsApp, email, copy, skip) and when, plus a count of follow-up actions in the last 7 days for the free plan
- Settings: column mappings, follow-up stages, your business and sender name, country and email preferences
- Licence details: your Pro licence key and the result of its last check, if you enter one
The publisher has no access to this data. It stays in your browser profile until you clear it or remove the extension.
Data you send to WhatsApp, Gmail or your email app
Only when you click Open WhatsApp, Open email or Gmail, Quote Chaser opens that service with the recipient and message filled in:

Nothing is sent to your customer until you press send in that service. From then on, WhatsApp, Google or your email provider handles the message under its own privacy policy.
Data sent for the Pro licence check
Only if you enter a Pro licence key, Quote Chaser contacts Polar (api.polar.sh), the payment provider that sold the key. The request contains:

No customer names, phone numbers, emails, quote details or messages are included. Polar also receives your IP address and browser user agent, as with any web request. The check runs when you activate a key and then at most once every 7 days. Polar's handling is covered by the Polar privacy policy.
Clipboard
Quote Chaser reads your clipboard only when you click "Paste from clipboard", and only after Chrome asks your permission. Decline and you can paste into the text box instead. Copy buttons write to your clipboard only when you click them.
Payments
Checkout, billing and receipts run on Polar. Quote Chaser never sees your card details.
Deleting your data
Use Rules → "Clear imported rows and history" to delete your rows and history, or remove the extension to delete everything it stored. Data already passed to WhatsApp, Google, your email app or Polar is held under their policies.
Sharing and sale
The publisher never receives your quote data, and does not sell or share any data. Quote Chaser's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the follow-up queue and, for Pro, the licence check.
Complaints and contact
Email support@plainwarestudio.com. We acknowledge complaints within 7 days and answer in writing within 30 days. For privacy complaints you are not satisfied with, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. Publisher: Costwell Tools.
